The Minister of Health has just provided a vaccine update at his Parliamentary Committee briefing. Essentially, the national Department of Health has announced 1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive from the Serum Institute of India in January, with another 500 000 arriving by end-February. This means that phase 1 of the national vaccine rollout plan can proceed with the inoculation of healthcare workers across the country. Read the full statement here.
