Kiaat Private Hospital hosted its annual Doctors Golf Day on May 31, not just for leisure, but to raise funds for KaMagugu Inclusive School, aligning with the hospital’s slogan of ‘Giving New Life to the Heart of the Community.

Some medical professionals traded their stethoscopes for golf clubs, emphasising their commitment to community service. Players from across Mbombela engaged in friendly competition with the goal of supporting KaMagugu Inclusive School, for which they managed to raise a total of R75 000.

The event highlighted the solidarity and empathy within the medical community, showcasing the profound impact of collective generosity.

Reflecting on the success of the Doctors Golf Day, Steven Mashishi, manager of Kiaat Private Hospital, remarked: “Today has been a wonderful testament to the spirit of unity and compassion that defines our hospital’s commitment towards advancing the interests of Mbombela’s citizens and those in surrounding areas.

“Through our collective efforts, we have not only enjoyed a day of sport, but have also made a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. This is what our slogan, ‘Giving New Life to the Heart of the Community’, is all about. We’d like to thank everyone who assisted us with raising funds for the school.”

The day was well supported by sponsors who were set up throughout the golf course.
