Mary Ann Nabbie was appointed Group Director of Nursing for Netcare on 1 March 2026. Prior to this role, she served as Regional Nursing Manager for Gauteng North-East, where she oversaw nursing operations across 16 hospitals, three-day clinics, and two public–private partnership hospitals.

With over 12 years of senior nursing leadership experience within Netcare—spanning multiple hospitals and regions—and an additional five years of international leadership experience in the Middle East, Mary Ann brings both global perspective and deep local expertise to her work.

A Registered Nurse in Midwifery, Psychiatry, and Community Health, she also specialised in Critical Care Nursing and has completed an MDP at GIBS, alongside multiple leadership certifications. Currently completing PG Diploma in Business administration at Henley Business school. She is the co-author of Health Information Systems in Nursing (Juta, 2024), reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge of student nurses in the profession.

Her expertise in electronic health records, workforce development, and clinical excellence positions her as a leading voice in shaping the future of nursing and healthcare delivery.
