Monyebodi Hendrica Ngoepe grew up and matriculated in Polokwane and completed her 4-year Nursing Diploma at the Lebone College of Nursing in 1990. She subsequently completed a Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science in 1993, a BCUR Degree in 1997 and Honours in Health Care Studies in 2010 at UNISA.
On completion of her nursing studies, Monyebodi started her career at Johannesburg Hospital as a Professional Nurse in Theatre. After 3 years she was promoted to a Senior Professional Nurse. One year later, 1 June 1994 she joined Pietersburg Private Hospital as a Theatre Sister (which subsequently became Mediclinic Limpopo). In February 1998 she was promoted to the position of Unit Manager (Theatre). In July 1999 she was promoted to the position of Deputy Nursing Manager (Theatre). After 2 years she took up the position of Nursing Manager. 5 years later, 1 June 2007, she took up the position of Regional Nursing Manager for the Western Cape Region. In November 2014 she was promoted to the Regional Clinical Manager for the Northern Region. In January 2022 she was promoted to the MCSA Nursing Executive.
She served on the Forum for Professional Nurse Leaders, Western Cape Region since November 2009 – December 2014 as the Vice Chairperson. She is a member of Hospital Association of South Africa Nursing Subcommittee.
Hendrica is married with 1 son. Apart from spending time with her family, an important anchor in her life, Monyebodi enjoys watching movies, reading and travelling.
