On The Sad Deaths of Psychiatric Patients

By now it will be well-known that the Health Ombudsman’s report into the deaths of a number of psychiatric patients in Gauteng is imminently due for release.

This is a tragic case, but each death, we must remember, was the death of a person. It is so easy to forget this. Whatever the report concludes, let us remember that people passed away, and they should be mourned. Let us remember that families are mourning their passing away and they need our support.

So, from the Hospital Association, to each mourning family, and in memory of each person who passed away, our sincere condolences.
